We had updates from our Community Connectors Laura and Bryony on their SiRD Project. Lorraine updated the audience on the work NLDF had been doing this year and our guest speaker was Joanne Robertson who discussed her community alarms project.

Project update:

Our new project SiRD helps people who are not eligible at this time to access self directed support, our community connectors Laura and Bryony and linking people into their communities, reducing isolation and supporting people to remain as independent as possible by offering choice and control in community led activities in North Lanarkshire, for more information on this please call Laura or Bryony on 01698 275710 or email info@nldforum.org.uk

Mental Welfare Commission

Mental Welfare Commission stakeholders survey is actively seeking views on roles and responsibilities.

This is the first such survey they have launched in some time, and we want to make sure that everyone who wants to give us their opinion has the opportunity to do so.

With the review of the Mental Health Act underway, and the recruitment of a new chief executive for the Commission in progress, this is a particularly important time for them to listen to others and take account of your views.

The survey, which is anonymised and completely independent of the Commission, is available here https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/MWCSurvey/
